he Railway Inn is a rural village pub serving Traditional bar food alongside some great homemade dishes in the separate dining room. The menu is extensive and runs alongside a fantastic selection of regularly changing blackboard specials (which use the best of what's in season) to choose from.
The Railway Inn was a formally a mill house but was converted to a pub around 1860 when the Manchester to Chester railway line was built.
Tony, Lynda and daughter Laura run the pub. Tony’s great aunt was the licensee from 1937 until 1972. Tony, Lynda, Laura and Matthew moved into the Railway in May 1988 and have been running it for 20 years.

In winter come and enjoy our cosy, welcoming atmosphere with open log fires blazing throughout the pub.
The railway is a good base for walkers as there are lots of public footpaths around to customers can leave their cars, order their lunch in advance to be ready when they get back from a walk in the lovely countryside.
There is a varied selection of traditional cask ales, lagers, a good wine list as well as soft drinks.
Serving Real Ale including locally brewed Dunham Massey ales.
The food menu varies from a sandwich to a mixed grill with a specials board that changes frequently. We are open for lunch & dinner all week.
NEWS: Our chef, Sarah Wilbraham, underwent training from Jean Christophe Novelli and was completed the Novelli Challenge training course.
